AskHannah vs Meta Business Agent
On 3 June 2026 Meta launched the Meta Business Agent — a free AI agent on WhatsApp, Messenger and Instagram. AskHannah is the European alternative that does what Meta doesn't: phone, outbound calling, omnichannel brain and data that stays in Europe.
Sovereign
Brain, transcripts, CRM connections and logs in European data centres. GDPR + EU AI Act + standard DPA.
Complete
Phone (inbound and outbound), WhatsApp, website chat, Instagram, Messenger and SMS — in one AI brain. Meta doesn't touch your phone line.
Local
NL/FR-native, Belgian telecom partner (Telsmart), local support and sector pages for BE/NL SMBs.
What do you get extra with AskHannah?
Beyond WhatsApp, AskHannah also answers your phone, calls customers back and keeps all your customer data in Europe. A short overview compared to Meta's free agent.
| Capability | AskHannah | Meta Business Agent |
|---|---|---|
| Inbound phone calls | ||
| Outbound calling (follow-ups, reminders) | ||
| WhatsApp Business | ||
| One AI brain across all channels | ||
| Where your customer data is stored | Europe | US / global |
| Complies with GDPR and the EU AI Act | ||
| Local telecom integration (BE/NL) | ||
| Native NL/FR support | ||
| Multiple AI employees per role |
Honest note: WhatsApp messages always go through Meta — also with AskHannah. The difference is where everything else lives: your transcripts, customer data and the AI itself stay with us in Europe.
Control over your data and configuration
Hosting in Germany, GDPR-compliant processing agreements, recordings retained for 90 days by default and an EU-only configuration on request.
